This Sacred Silence 1-Day Silent Meditation & Yoga Retreat invites you into the Heart of Stillness that lies Within and as the background of your very Being. 

This is a unique experience, one where you are invited to enter into a cocoon of silence Within. 

Leaving behind the normal day-to-day activities and responsibilities, along with the usual social interactions. This is a space where you can drop the masks, pause your busyness and remember the simple art of Presence - all whilst feeling held and guided by Turiya. 

When was the last time (if ever) you entered into silence for an entire day? 

The Buddha said "silence isn't empty, it's full of answers". 

When we create space in our habituated patterns and inbetween the incessent flow of thoughts and doing, we create space to dream, to return home to the deep self, to open to the wonders and insights which are waiting to be seen and given space to birth.

A Silent Meditation retreat is in a word, transformational, and a 1-Day retreat offers you just enough so that you can directly weave the rememberings into your daily life. 

During this precious 1-Day Retreat we will journey through different layers of this held invitation into deep listening, deep relaxation, and deep exploration.

Together we will learn a variety of simple yet profound meditation tools and techniques from Hridaya Yoga which spans multiple traditions all directed towards the revelation of our true self (the spiritual heart). We will also practice traditional Hatha Yoga to prepare the body for meditation, along with pranayama (breathwork) to prepare the mind. We will be charged by the beautiful and peaceful land of the Hearth through nature explorations & walking meditations, inspired through lectures & contemplations & nourished by a delicious organic lunch.

There has never been a stronger time to look inside. Yes, meditation is available in every single moment, by the simple anchoring of our awareness in the unfolding moment, yet a meditation retreat can help prepare the soil, remove some of the weeds, and allow the flower of our soul to bloom with strength, vitality and clarity.

For this Retreat we will also be ripe in the energies of Springtime. We will use this One-Day Retreat therefore to refresh and re-balance ourselves, and also clarify our intentions for this time of preparing the ground so that seeds can be planted.

During this 1-Day Retreat we will also use the seasonal energies to help clear the physcial, energetic, mental and emotional fields, so that we perceive ourselves and our intentions more clearly after the hibernation of winter.

You are invited to remain in silence for the day (although Turiya will verbally teach during the day) as well as switching off your mobile, and only reading what you write during the day in your journal. We are limiting external stimuli so that the inner world can emerge more brightly.

This is a profound experience. Maybe you have experienced silence before, maybe this is your first time, all are welcome, and all will receive the medicine that only silence, and nature, can provide. 

Hridaya is the Sanskrit word for Spiritual Heart, and rather than solely encompassing the physical heart or energetic heart, Hridaya in this instance is referred to as the Seat of the Self - the essential, ultimate, ineffable dimension of our Being - where we ask the Question Who Am I?

In Hridaya Yoga & Meditation there is a movement from using the heart as an object of knowledge, then as an instrument of knowledge, finally revealing itself as the very subject of knowledge.

The Retreat will be held at the serene and tranquil Hearth in the heart of South Devon, a peaceful, natural sanctuary where people come to learn, rest, rejuvenate, & reconnect. Within 16 acres of verdant meadow and woodland, the Hearth offers  the opportunity to uncouple from the demands of daily life, find time for stillness and reflection, and realign mind, body, and spirit with nature.
