Welcome to Sacred Silence

In a world filled with distraction, speed, and constant noise, Sacred Silence offers a different path.

We believe that true Peace is not something we need to create, but something we remember when the mind becomes quiet. Through meditation, silence, and contemplative practice, we reconnect with the deeper Presence that lives Within us.

Sacred Silence Retreats are dedicated to sharing this timeless wisdom - so that more and more people may rediscover the Stillness, clarity, and compassion that arise when we return to the Silence of the Heart.

“The quieter you become, the more your can hear.”

Sacred Silence
A 6-Day Silent Meditation  Retreat

15th - 21st February 2027
Location: Eden Rise, Totnes, Devon

Silence is not an escape from Life - it is a way of seeing more clearly into it.

Sacred Silence is a Six-Day Silent Meditation Retreat for those who feel a quiet but persistent call for deeper inner presence, clarity, and groundedness.

This Retreat is not a place to chase spiritual experiences, nor a space for quick fixes. It is an invitation into an honest inner process - one that invites you to shift the place from which life is lived, and to discover how insight can be integrated directly into day-to-day life.

The Retreat unfolds in sustained periods of contemplative silence, contemplative meditation, and attentive presence.

Featuring:

Guided Meditations

In-Depth Teachings & Lectures

Daily Yoga & Embodiment practices

Practical Meditation Tools

Pranayama (Breath-Work)

Nature Bathing & Daily Life Integration

Including:

Complete Daily Teaching Schedule
6 Nights' Peaceful Accommodation

Three Delicious Meals per day

Why choose Sacred Silence?

1

Deep Immersion in Silence

Step away from the noise of everyday life and enter a carefully held field of noble silence. This environment allows the mind to settle naturally and opens the space for profound inner Stillness.

2

Authentic Meditation Practice

The Retreat is rooted in traditional contemplative practices and years of lived meditation experience. The emphasis is on direct inner experience, helping you discover meditation as a living reality rather than just a technique.

3

Balance of Stillness and Movement

Daily meditation sessions are complemented by gentle yoga and embodied practices, helping the body relax so the mind can enter deeper states of presence and awareness.

4

Guided Self‑Inquiry & Teachings

Through contemplative teachings and subtle guidance, participants explore the nature of Awareness and reconnect with the deeper Presence that lies beyond the busy mind.

5

A Supportive Sacred Environment

Held in a peaceful natural setting, the Retreat offers a nurturing and safe space for rest, reflection, and inner renewal, allowing participants to truly slow down and reconnect with themselves.

6

Reconnect with Your Natural Peace

Many participants experience the Retreat as a profound reset - rediscovering the clarity, spaciousness, and quiet Joy that arise when we return to the peace that is our birthright.

“Become conscious of being conscious. Say or think “I am”, and add nothing to it. Be aware of the Stillness that follows the “I am”. Sense your presence, the naked unveiled, unclothed Beingness. It is untouched by young or old, rich or poor, good or bad, or any other attributes. It is the spacious womb of all creation, all form.”

Testimonials

"Thank you so much for a perfectly executed retreat! This was my first retreat, and I immediately felt safe and welcome in the group. The concepts were introduced slowly and methodically, and were easy to digest and understand. The meditations were relaxed and easy to follow, with lots of practical tools to take away after the retreat. You are so knowledgable and gentle in your delivery and the food was absolutely perfect! Thank you so much!

the inner and the outer have fused into one,
you will find Her whom you
sought with such anguish,

Meditation Offerings

Meditation is a transformational tool which helps us re-learn how to deeply relax Body and Mind - but more than that, Meditation helps us to taste that Deeper Dimension of Who We Really Are.

No matter where you are on your Meditation Journey, there are Courses to meet you, inspire you, and open you to the Truth that You Are.

Currently four distinct Meditation Experiences are offered: Sacred Silence Silent Meditation Retreats (In-Person in Devon); The Anchoring Within 5-Week e-Course (Online); the Hridaya Online Meditation Library, and the One-Day Sacred Silence Silent Meditation Retreat (In-Person in Devon).

"Meditation is listening. It is going back to your own Center. Meditation is learning to relate to life, to your environment, from Who You Are, not from the way other people try to define you. Meditation will enable you to return to the peace you seek, at the Center of your Being."

Swami Kriyananda.

What people say...

"My first ever retreat. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. I was welcomed with open arms from the second I arrived, Turiya is such a beautiful soul. The yoga itself was top quality and I have learnt so much about not only yoga and meditation techniques but also about myself. I have come home completely renewed and as light as a feather."

Rebecca, England

Meditation was a big "Aha" Moment.

Ever since I was young, I've had a busy, imaginative Mind.

But it's one thing to choose when to use your Mind, and it's another if your Mind is constantly switched on, leaving little space for you to simply Be in the Present Moment.

The Mind is an amazing tool. It's an instrument. But sadly, for many of us, we've forgotten that it only needs to be used for particular tasks like calculating, analysing, evaluating. The constant stream of thoughts, the incessant labelling, commenting and judging doesn't need to be part of our daily reality.

Through Meditation, I realised that I am not just my thoughts. I am the Thinker of my thoughts, and there is a Space from which thoughts rise and fall.

Through Meditation I remembered that thoughts are just like clouds in the sky. They come and they go. But no matter the number of clouds or thoughts, behind them all is an ever-present, unchanging, vast blue sky. This blue sky is our portal to freedom, a doorway to this Background of Stillness which lies Within.

Through Meditation I remember, return and rest in this Background of Stillness Within.

This profound realisation brought huge transformation to my Life, - the way I view Life, the way I enjoy Life, the way I live Life.

And the best news? It's possible and available for you too.
